She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cleo and Eva Everette Adams; her husband Sherrill Franklin Phipps, Sr.; her siblings, Edith Moore, Wanda Boyette, Carolyn Williams and Johnny Adams; and her brothers-in-law, Tom Boyette, George Massengill, Sr. and Thomas Moore.
She is survived by: her son Sherrill Franklin "Frankie" Phipps, Jr. (Teresa); her grandchildren, Tiffany Phipps-Adams (Blake) and Sherrill Franklin "Frank" Phipps, III; her great grandchildren, Blake Gary Adams, Jr., Hamilton Adams, Mariannah Adams, John William Adams and Eva Mae Adams; her siblings, Brenda Beasley (Morris), Diane Massengill and Harold Adams; and her siblings-in-law, James "Poodle" Williams, Ginger Adams and Emma Lee Allen (Eustace).
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
