He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Dixon and Lena Thompson Dixon; and his brother Dusty Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette M. Dixon; his daughter Jennifer D. Hayes of Four Oaks; his granddaughter Emma Brook Hayes; and his siblings, Elizabeth Casey of Garner, Gail Holloway (Fred) of Wilmington, Wayne Dixon (Hannah) of Goldsboro, Danny Ray Dixon of Princeton and Allan Dixon (Diane) of Princeton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
