He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ned Daniel Johnson, Jr. and Laura W. Johnson; his sister Sara Morgan; his wife JoAnne T. Johnson; his children, Genene Weaver (Randy), Darrell Weaver (Lisa) and Jeff Weaver (Laura); his grandchildren, Cassie Cantu (Jose), Mary Michael Weaver, Alston, Jack Weaver, Faith and George Weaver; his great grandchild Lacey Marie Cantu; and his sisters, Sue Wilder (Robert) and Dee Powell (Charles). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
