It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Massengill Lee Johnson of Four Oaks, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry Massengill and Mary Frances Jackson Massengill; her husbands, Lundy Eston Lee and Dennis Michael Johnson; her grandchildren, Cameron Michael Hall, Garrett Lee Hall and Anthony Brian Hall; and her siblings, Della Nowell, Elsie Evans, Richard Massengill and Edith Bierman.
She is survived by: her daughter Loretta Hall (Tony); her grandchildren, Toni Faith Braswell (Joseph), Jesse Hall and Amanda Benson (Derek); her great grandchildren, Grayson Braswell and Halle Jo Benson; and her brother George Massengill (Mary). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
