She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband George Henry McLain Burnette; her sons, George Burnette Jr (Brandy) of Winterville and Brian Burnette (Ashley) of Fountain; her sister Lynn Warf; her sisters-in-law, Mary Paula Boswell (Ernest) of Virginia Beach and Cara Winstead (Wayne) of Apex; and her grandchildren, Raygan Burnette, Brayden Burnette, Emma Burnette, Kylie Burnette and Mason Burnette. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
