She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ruth Morgan Turner and AC Turner; and her sisters, Diane Raper, Jean Tugwell and Connie Casey.

She is survived by: her husband Douglas Arthur Walston; her children, Robin Anderson (Brian) of Tarboro, Michael Walston (Corie) of Farmville and Christina Dennison (Garry) of Fountain; her brothers, Joe Turner (Lisa) of Tennessee and Wayne Turner (Sandra) of Fountain; her grandchildren, Brian (Heather), Caitlin (Blake), Nicholas, Aaron, Brandon, Christopher, Mason, Caleb, Jacob and Daniel; and her great grandchildren, Kailey, Brilynn, Autumn, Ella, Logan, Landon, Ayrleigh, Morgan, Daisy and Hayley.
