With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benjamin Franklin Carraway Jr. of Fountain, North Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Benjamin leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Benjamin may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Franklin Carraway and Helen Morgana Lilley Carraway; and his sister Betsy Ellen Carraway Kadric. He is survived by: his son Benjamin Christopher Carraway; and his siblings, Phillip Carraway of San Antonio, TX, Norma Coggins (Bobby) of Greenville, NC, Jane Phillips of Smithfield, VA, Catherine Medlin (Ronnie) of Riegelwood, NC, Judy Thomas (John) of Aberdeen, MD, Patsy Harrington (Tommy) of Ayden, NC and Susan Carraway (Ben) of Utah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Farmville Funeral Home (4226 E Church St, Farmville, NC 27828).
