He is survived by: his wife Edna; his children, Edward Bennett, Jr., Preston Chaplin and Sonya Bennett-Jordan; and his siblings, Isaiah Smith and Priscilla Smith. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
