He is survived by: his wife Valerie Love; his daughter Ursula Cheek (Kendell); his adoptive children, Shannon Carter (Regina) and Atiya Barnes; his grandchildren, Jaylen Cheek, Kathleen Cheek, Leena Cheek, Laila Cheek, Aiyana Carter, Elijah Carter, Chasen Carter and Matthew Sherrod Barnes; his siblings, Faye Love Thompson, Phyllis Ann Love, Chaunda LuElla Love and Tony Vernard Love of Lumberton, NC; his nieces, Dorothy Carol Love, Theresa Love, Sandra Love, Tracy Love and LaTreecha Thompson-Young; his nephew Eric Thompson II; and his friends, Charlie Worthy, Gary Campbell and Duwayne Thompson. He is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
