He was predeceased by: his parents, Dixon Braxton and Susie Braxton; and his siblings, Carol Cox, Nancy Gore and Bill Newell.

He is survived by: his wife Veronica Braxton; his children, Jessie Lynn Coward, Michael Coward, Steven, Ashley Coward, Susie Jo Braxton Thornton and Mike; his grandchildren, Jacob Coward, Isaac Coward, Eric Coward, Ashland Coward, Michael-John Thornton and Lucas Thornton; his great grandchildren, Everleigh Ann Coward, David Thornton, Paisleigh Thornton and Kinsleigh Thornton; his stepgreat-granddaughter Addison Rand; and his nephew Elbert Ryan Jolly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeff's name to West Vanceboro Church of God or Highland Park Christian Church.
