He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Carlyle and Ruby Carlyle; and his siblings, Lionel Keith Carlyle and Sylvia Puckett. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Wilson Carlyle; his children, Lisa Carlyle Bagwell (Mike) of Kinston, Bobby Gene Carlyle, Jr. (Ivy) of Snow Hill and Penny Carlyle Tripp (Jeff) of Walstonburg; his siblings, Joan Sutton of LaGrange and Francis Carlyle (Bonnie) of Kinston; and also Joe Whitfield. He is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
