He is survived by: his children, David, Camilo, Julian, Andrei and Valerie; and his sisters, Maribell, Lucy and Lizeth. He is also survived by his wife and parents.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crowe's Funeral Chapel (118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (1024 W Main St, Forest City, NC 28043).
