He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lea Cowan Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Beaty Cowan; and his brother Keane Cowan. He is survived by: his children, William Lea Cowan III (Shana) of Euless, TX and Mary Elizabeth Cowan (Beth) of Mooreboro; his grandchildren, Belle Cowan, Will Cowan, Kelsey Camby, Arien Martin and Casey Martin; and his great grandchild Delilah Camby.
A reception was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Padgett and King Mortuary (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043).
