It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Venita Wells Hutchins of Forest City, North Carolina, born in Henrietta, North Carolina, who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Yates Wells and Verna Greene Wells; her former husband Robert Eugene Rothrock; her husband James Samuel Hutchins; and her siblings, Lowell Wells and Imagene House.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Rothrock (Candice) of Rutherfordton, Jeff Rothrock (Carmen) of Carolina Beach, NC, Cindy Kim of Atlanta, GA and Susan Russell (David) of Forest City; her sisters, Joyce Myrick, Carol Blanton and Kay Ward; and her grandchildren, Brandon Rothrock (Haley), Jessica Fulbright (Brent), Emily Bagwell (Bobby), Robbie Rothrock, Johnlee Rothrock, Sara Rothrock, Brittany Lane (Ryan), Leah Sierra, Ariana Schuler, Hanna Kohler (Stephan) and Kaleb Kim. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
