He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alford R. Davis and Ava Estelle Smith Davis; his wife Rebecca Rose Ferrell Davis; his children, Sheldon Davis (Kristin), John Davis (Corrine) and Mandy Davis Sims (Nathan); and his stepchildren, Angelia Logan, Cynthia Wise, Shannon Hamrick (Danny) and Rob Pendergraph.

“Mandy, sheldon, john just got the message about your dad was very sad about his home going in my heart i will ever love your dad in 1980 he walked me down the aisle to marry my husband ray in broadway nc. I started working for him in 1979 trained in lumberton nc with your uncle then came to sanford nc i was hurt when he left but i know where he resides now is with his maker we can love him forever but god will always love him more.
