He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Metcalf and Margaret Hardin Metcalf; and his son Grant Metcalf. He is survived by: his wife Brenda King; his daughter Stephanie Metcalf; his grandchildren, Landon, Natalie and Cameron; his stepchildren, Brian King, Susan Hayes and James King; and his siblings, John Metcalf and Elizabeth Bridges. He is also survived by eight step grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tanner's Grove Church (151 Tanners Grove Rd, Forest City, NC 28043). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
