It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Penson Sr. of Forest City, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on October 27, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Penson and Mary Kay McArthur Penson; and his brothers, Danny Penson and Kelly Ward. He is survived by: his wife Pat Penson; his children, Shelley Gordon (Jimmy) of Ellenboro and Steve Penson, Jr. (Sherry) of Bostic; his grandchildren, Jessica Penson, Drew Gordon (Taylor), Clay Gordon (Abby) and Ronnie Penson; his great grandchildren, Garrett Gordon, Colton Gordon and Graham Gordon; and his siblings, Greg Penson (Ginger) of Rutherfordton and Candace Funderburk (Jeff) of Dallas, NC..
