He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Brooks and Betty Melton Brooks. He is survived by: his daughters, Shelly Roberts (Jamie) of Forest City and Jill Van Dyke of Forest City; his grandchildren, Paige Floyd, Jordan Radford (Dorian Borne), Cait'Lynn Crotts, Grant Roberts and Max Roberts; his great grandchild Jaxson Borne; his siblings, Connie Bradley, Gary Brooks, Ricky Brooks, Danny Brooks and Billy Brooks; and his pet Dakota.

Memorial donations are requested to Shelly Roberts, 132 Countrywood Drive, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.
