She was predeceased by: her parents, John Boyd Mahaffee and Alma Marsh Mahaffee; her former husband D. B. Tate, Jr.; her husband James Cecil Bailey; her son Steve Tate; and her grandson Todd Tate.
She is survived by: her son Phil; her daughter-in-law Gay Tate of Forest City; and her sister Joyce Beason of Gaffney. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
