He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Tull Hollifield and Evelyn Black Hollifield; and his sister Jewel Fox. He is survived by: his sons, Robert "Bobby" Hollifield, Jr. (Julie) of Bostic and Charles "Chuck" Hollifield (Sandy) of Forest City; his grandchildren, Savannah Griffith (Stephen), C. J. Hollifield, Christopher McCurry and Amber Radford (Mikey); his great grandchildren, Braelyn Davis and Zoe Radford; and his siblings, Billy Hollifield (Madge), Midge Templin (Harry) and Sybil Palmer (Roger).

Memorials may be made to Sandy Level Baptist Church, 1047 Sandy Level Church Road, Bostic, North Carolina 28018.
