She was predeceased by: her parents, Carthul J. Goode and Mary Etta Henderson Goode; her husband Billie W. Childers; and her son William "Chili" Childers. She is survived by: her daughter Abbe C. Byers (P. J.) of Forest City; her sister Trina G. Hoyle of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Christopher Byers (Cassie) of Forest City, Cameron Byers (Sarah) of Forest City, Dallas Childers of Newton, NC and Christian C. Brotherton (Seth) of Conover, NC; her great grandchildren, Jackson of Forest City, Jillian of Forest City, Jeryn Byers of Forest City, Memphis of Forest City and Merit Byers of Forest City; and her daughter-in-law Julia Lee Childers of Newton, NC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harrelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1251 US Hwy 221a, Forest City, NC 28043). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
