Reba Lail Poteat Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Reba Lail Poteat of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Lail and Rosa Mae Rogers Lail; her husband David Poteat; her children, Eddie Tipton, Robbie Tipton and Kathy Diane Tipton; and her siblings, William, Jerry, Frankie Lail, Jean Kelly and Lucille Moore.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne Tipton (Patricia) of Ellenboro, Scott Tipton of Rutherfordton and Jimmy Tipton (Teresa) of Forest City; and her sister Rachel Whisnant of Henrietta. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Goodes Grove Baptist Church (806 Goodes Grove Church Rd, Mooresboro, NC 28114). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Goodes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (810 Goodes Grove Church Rd, Mooresboro, NC 28114).
