It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Patterson of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on October 20, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Patterson and Francis Fowler Patterson; his former wife Cynthia Patterson; his wife Mary Dobbins Patterson; and his brother Ernest Patterson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Hargett of Ellenboro and Daphne Layton of Mooresboro; his grandchildren, David Lane II (June) of Ellenboro, Raymond Lane (Ashely) of Rutherfordton, Judy Lane of Mooresboro, Joseph Ware of Asheville, Beth Ware of Gilkey and Rebecca Ware of Columbia, SC; and his siblings, Shirley Leverette, Betty Crowder, Carolyn Yarsboro, Nellie Hubert, Margaret Mode and Howard Patterson.
