He was predeceased by: his father Jack Godfrey; and his wife Betty Godfrey. He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda Sharp of Forest City and Teresa Pruitt (Cleve) of Ellenboro; and his brothers, Roy Lee Godfrey (Joyce) of Chesnee and Bobby Godfrey (Florence) of Hickory. He is also survived by four grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
