She was predeceased by: her parents, Theron Cash and Bessie Stacy Cash; her former husband James Smith; her husband Troy Gilbert; her daughter Pam C. Gilbert; and her siblings, Theron Cash, Jr., Joseph Cash, Harold Cash, Mary Catherine Butler and Annette Cash Whitaker.
She is survived by: her children, Patty Shelton (Morris) of Bostic and Steve Gilbert (Betty) of Ellenboro; and her grandchildren, Paige Shelton Moore of Horseshoe, NC, Jamie Shelton of Forest City, Emily Gilbert Jones of Gastonia and Clint Gilbert of Forest City. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
