He was predeceased by: his former wife Vivian Merchant Lane; his parents, Odis Lane and Margaret Queen Lane; and his siblings, Libby Heffner and Buddy Lane.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Scoggins Roberson Lane of Forest City; his children, Tracy Tolbert (Mike) of Lawndale, Kevin Lane (Shelly) of Forest City and Shawn Lane (Kim) of Morganton; and his stepchildren, Tony Roberson (Lisa) of Rutherfordton, Michael Roberson (Danielle) of Mill Spring and Jill Roberson of Forest City. He is also survived by 22 Grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
