It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mike Smith of Forest City, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Ricky "Pops" Hines and Jennifer Jackson Hines of Campobello; his wife Nicki Searcy Smith; his children, Will Smith of Forest City, Whitney Smith of Forest City, Maranda Gosnell of Forest City and Makayla Gosnell of Forest City; and his stepbrother Giften Hines (Marsha'l) of Spartanburg.
