She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Adams and Lucille Piercy Adams; her husband Fletcher Smith; and her sisters, Ann Moore and Rita Gilbert.
She is survived by: her son David Smith (Kayley Hargett) of Rutherfordton; her siblings, Earl Adams of Spindale, Steve Adams (Lynn) of Rutherfordton, Jessie Clontz of Gilkey, Geraldine Adams Ziegler of Detroit and Jean Burdette of Bessemer City; and her grandchildren, Caleb and Brianna Smith.
