With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Louise Pleasant of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on July 18, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Walker and Mamie Smith Walker; her husband Frank Pleasant; her siblings, Roma Lee Walker, Annie Mae Walker, Pauline Toney and Kathleen Stacy; her stepdaughters, Angie Linder and Wanda Garcia; her granddaughter Betsy Ponton; and her great grandchild Charles Franklin Holland III.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Ray Duncan of Caroleen, Rhonda Renee Duncan (Misty Sims) of Rutherfordton and Sherry Lynn Ferguson (Scott) of Forest City; her sister Maybell Athey of Salisbury, NC; and her stepdaughter Frankie Hope Gettys (Jerry) of Caroleen. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
