She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Ida Simmons Whitaker; and her siblings, Catherine Hawthorn and Clark Simmons. She is survived by: her husband Willis Norman Lange, Sr. of Rutherfordton; her sons, Willis Norman Lange, Jr. (Cherise) of Chandler and Travis Edwards Lange (Katie) of Minden, Louisiana; and her sisters, Verda Lee Gladden of Pleasant Plains and Marsha Greene of DeRidder, Louisiana. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
