Martha Whitmire Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 18, 2023, at the age of 91, Martha Whitmire of Forest City, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tim Dyer and Nancy McGinnis Dyer; her husband Rev. George W. Whitmire; her siblings, Marshall, Carmon Dyer and Ruby Jolley Hill; her daughter-in-law Cathy Whitmire; her grandsons, Michael Whitmire and Bobby Dyer; and her great great grandchild Linux Phouvanay.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Dyer (Frank) of Bostic, Alice Gaulin (Peter) of Stratham, Karen Fish of Forest City, Carrie Whitmire of Boiling Springs, NC, Febie Keever (Ricky) of Rutherfordton, George Whitmire (Susan) of Bostic, James "Jabo" Whitmire (Renee) of Rutherfordton, Freddie Whitmire (Tammy) of Forest City, Bobby Whitmire of Forest City and Thomas Whitmire (Dana) of Forest City. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
