He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Turner and Bertha Millwood Turner; and his siblings, Ray Turner, John Turner, Frances Rowe, Sarah Turner and Jean Callahan of Forest City.

He is survived by: his children, Steve Turner of Holly Hill, SC and Faith Turner of Bostic; and his sister Betty Jo Greathouse of Forest City. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
