She was predeceased by: her father Gillie Spicer of Washington; her husband Verge Dedmon; and her siblings, Irene Hall, Judy Tessnear, George, John, Abraham and Bobby Spicer.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Elliott (Edward) of Bostic and Ray Dedmon (Cookie) of Rutherfordton; her siblings, Ronnie Spicer of Harris, Julie Lewis of Forest City and Janie Fleischer (Dale) of Youngstown, Ohio.; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Elliott (Amelia), Jennifer Turner (Eric), Wendy Wyatt (John), Jerrica Gillespie (Jeremy) and Anna Reid (Tyler). She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
