She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Jenkins Holland and Ollie Mae Lemons Holland; her husband Howard Arnold Melton; her children, Dianne Melton Bowen and Dennis M. Melton; her grandson Ken M. Bowen III; and her sister Inez Holland Marshall.
She is survived by: her son Arnold Guy Melton of Forest City; her grandchildren, Michael Melton of Atlanta, Jennifer Melton (Jerry Sumrell) of Dallas, Natalie Melton Wills (Justin) of Stone Mountain and Bridget Melton of Atlanta, Georgia; her great grandchildren, Presley Wills, Collette Wills and Lucky Guy Wills; her sister Ola Holland Horne of New Bern; her children-in-law, Ken M. Bowen, Jr. (Susie) of Forest City and Sheila Walker Melton of Lattimore; her stepbrother Larry Marshall of Frisco, Texas.; and also Susan Eddins.
The family request everyone in attendance wear a mask and exercise social distancing.
