It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorene McMurry O'Dell of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius McMurry and Estelle Watson McMurry; her granddaughter Madison O'Dell; and her siblings, Glenn McMurry and Barbara McMurry Champion.
She is survived by: her husband Donald O'Dell; her sons, Bruce O'Dell (Sharon) of Mooresboro, Wayne O'Dell of Ellenboro, Larry "Turkey" O'Dell (Teresa) of Mooresboro and Brian O'Dell (Kristy) of Mooresboro; and her sisters, Florence McMurry Tesseneer of Forest City and Lillie McMurry Smith of Ellenboro. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
