We are sad to announce that on August 4, 2019, at the age of 96, Leona Greene (Forest City, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaither Wortman and Margaret Denton Wortman; her husband Nelson Greene; her son John Junior Whisenant; her brother Harold Gates; her grandson Danny Clark; and her great great grandchild Jacob Wright.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deanna Jo Norville of Connelly Springs and Jean Ross of Forest City; and her sister Madine Green of Cameron, NC.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
