She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Naomi Waters and John Wilbur Waters; her husband Jimmy Broadus Harris; and her grandchildren, Ensign Christopher Luke Harris and Ashlee Bryn Harris.
She worked in banking at Union Trust and BB&T, at Chase High School as a teacher's aide in the Special Education department, and served as a mentor for the McNair Foundation.
