He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank "Chunk" Shytles and Amelia Putman Shytles; and his brother Curt Shytles. He is survived by: his daughter Amber Shytles Whitaker (Michael) of Forest City; his brother Kyle Shytles of Forest City; his granddaughters, Blakeley and Brenlie Whitaker; his sister-in-law Connie Shytles of Ellenboro; his niece Summer Shytles; his nephew Charlie Bumgarner of Forest City; and his uncle B. L. Putman (Peggy) of Norfolk, Virginia..
