He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland Thompson and Lettie Taylor Thompson; and his son Robbie Glen Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Joan Blanton Thompson; his children, Kelley T. Tomblin (Keith) of Rutherfordton and Bryan Thompson (Christy) of Caroleen; and his brother Robert Thompson (Joyce) of Rutherfordton.
