It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Filer (Forest City, North Carolina), born in Greenville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 23, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Zarecky and Madelyn Palovich Zarecky; her husband Frank Robert Filer; and her sons, Terry Robert Filer and Ronald Merle Filer.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Edward Filer (Terrie) of Forest City and Tammie Ann Filer of Forest City. She is also survived by six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
