He is survived by: his children, Crystal Smith Smith (Tommy) of Forest City and Duane Smith (Amy) of Boiling Springs, SC; his brother Jackie Smith (Dorothy) of Bostic; and his grandchildren, Kaley Smith Spurlin (Ryan), Ailey Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jeremy Smith, Jordan Fowler and Jared Fowler.
