He was predeceased by: his father Master Sergeant. He is survived by: his wife LeAnna Thomas Jay; his stepson Shawn Norman (Tammy); his stepgrandson Shane Gilbert; his stepgreat-grandson Lucas James Gilbert; and his siblings, Linda Jay Hodge and William "Bill" McClain (Gisela).
