She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Ervin Mitchell, Sr. and Sue Eva Turner Mitchell; her husband Bobby Joe Jenkins; and her siblings, Otis Ervin Mitchell, Jr. and Evelyn Mitchell Lovelace.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Jenkins Cole of Forest City and Bobby Jenkins (Marj) of Raleigh; her brother Jimmy Layne Mitchell (Livia) of Spartanburg; her grandchildren, Emily Jenkins Limer, Mary Beth Cole Smith, Abigail Jenkins, Benjamin Cole, Carter Jenkins and Catherine Cole Nichols; and her great grandchildren, Owen Limer, Madeline Limer, Madeline Smith, Brecken Nichols, Sadie Limer, Evelyn Joann Smith and Sutton Nichols.
