He was predeceased by: his parents, Arrie D. Greene and Tressie Davis Greene; his grandson Brandon Lee Greene; and his sister Peggy Greene Hewitt. He is survived by: his wife Betty Rippy Greene; his sons, Gary Greene of Blacksburg and Barry W. Greene (Jessel) of Blacksburg; his grandson Jeremy L. Greene; his brother-in-law Mickey Hewitt of Forest City, NC; his nephew Ricky Humphries; and his niece Jean Spence.
