He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Evelyn Sinclair Goodwin; his son Donald Goodwin; and his great grandchild Lukas Goodwin. He is survived by: his children, Charlene Crook (Terry) of Gastonia, James Goodwin, Jr. (Myra) of Ellenboro and Douglas Goodwin (Susan) of Forest City. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
