With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack Matheny (Forest City, North Carolina), who passed away on October 22, 2019 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lester and Lottie Cox Matheny; his wife Ruby Cole Matheny; his siblings, Glenn Matheny and Irene Hamrick; and his son Bruce Wayne Matheny.
He is survived by: his sons, Marlin Matheny (Shannon) of Forest City, Dennis Matheny (Gale) of Forest City and David Matheny of Forest City; his sisters, Mozelle Wilson of Forest City and Faye Nichols of Forest City; his grandchildren, Amy Camp (Jason) of Rutherfordton, Natasha Michaels (Ray) of Arden, Jason Matheny (Melanie) of Ellenboro, Johnathan Matheny of Rutherfordton and Jordan Matheny of Michigan; and his great grandchildren, Grace, Lily Camp, Carly, Eric Michaels, Megan and Tyler Matheny.
