She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyt Mode and Grace Sailors Mode; her son Doug Evans; her grandchildren, Abbie Toney and Matthew Suttle; and her brothers, Boyce, Jack and Bobby Mode.
She is survived by: her husband Bobby Ayers; her children, Dean Blanton (Sharon) of Forest City, Dennis Thurman Evans (Sharon Bright) of Bostic, Christopher Ayers (Christy) of Mooresboro, Cathy Bennett (Jack) of Bostic, Brenda Ramsey (Greg) of Ellenboro and Tammy Melton of Forest City; and her sister Donnis White of Shelby.
