With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Greg Butler of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Greg is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Greg's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He is survived by: his parent Cecil Butler; his wife Teresa Toney Butler; his stepfather Pamila Butler Killian (Dave) of Hickory; his children, Matthew Butler of Ellenboro, Austin Hammond of Bostic, Colton Hammond of Bostic, Wesley Hammond of Ellenboro, Candace Remillard of Forest City and Breanna Hammond of Forest City; and his sisters, Robin Wright, Rutherfordton and Rhonda Nesbitt of Myrtle Beach.

“In loving memory of Greg Butler, Someone so special will not be forgotten. This is such a shock and really hits home. Greg and I are cousins and the same age and although we do not see each other often because I live away, when we do we pick up right where we left off the last time we were together. We grew up together and his mother, Pam, used to keep me at their house a lot during my grammar school days. He will be sorely missed, but I know I will see him again some day. Love ya Man!”
