Grace Melton Black Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace Melton Black (Forest City, North Carolina), who passed away on December 7, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Reverend Earl C. Black, Jr.; her parents, Hatcher Melton and Maude Melton; her siblings, Eris Yelton, Edith Hosler, Selma Hamrick, Jewelene "Judy" Perry, Margaret Tunnell and Max Melton; and her granddaughter Lauren Dawson.

She is survived by: her children, Cliff Black (Diane) of Iron Station, Kathy Plowman (Ed) of Lakeland, Fla, David Black (Lynn) of Lincolnton and Dawn Warren (Sabian) of Old Fort; her grandchildren, Heather Walling (Jamie) of Charlotte, Philip Galyon (Sara) of Decatur, Ala., Krystal Flanigan (Justin) of Lincolnton and Jesse Campos of Lincolnton; her great grandchildren, Justin Barreiro, Andrew Corbitt, Christopher Corbitt, Nathan Galyon, Riley Dawson, Anala Cullpepper, Molly Black and Sofia Campos; and her siblings, Keith Melton (Ann) and Anne Jones (Joe). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN SERVICE PLANS..... The Memorial Service that was scheduled for Tuesday, December 28, 2021 has been CANCLED and will be rescheduled for a later date due to Covid concerns.
