She was predeceased by: her parents, Eula Phillips and Edna Tate Phillips; her husband James H. Melton; and her siblings, Jack, James, Claude, Everett, Robert Phillips, Macie Morrow, Ruby Hamrick, Thelma Jolley and Gladys Harrill.
She is survived by: her son Chester Melton (Glenda) of Forest City; her granddaughters, Gina Harrill (Thad) of Forest City and Caroline Calvert (Josh) of Gilkey; and her great grandchildren, Sydney Wilson (Zach), Annsley Harrill (Austin Meck), Avery Calvert, Carter Calvert and Sylvia Calvert.
